Setup instructions for Android

To create a DNS profile compatible with Android devices, purchase an OLAhome DNS plan from the pricing page.

You will receive a DNS like abcd.all.olahomedns.eu by email.

  • Open your phone’s Settings.
  • Use the search bar to look for dns.
  • Tap Private DNS.
  • Select Private DNS provider hostname.
  • In Hostname, enter the DNS you received, e.g. individual2345.all.olahomedns.eu.
  • Tap Save or OK.
  • The profile is now installed and your custom DNS is active on your Android device.
Setup instructions for iOS

To create a DNS profile for iOS devices, purchase an OLAhome DNS plan from the pricing page.

You will receive by email a DNS address in the format abcd.all.olahomedns.eu, along with the profile configuration file.

  • Save the file directly on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Open Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.
  • Tap the profile named OlahomeDNS - abcd.
  • Tap Install and enter your device passcode.
  • Tap Install again to confirm.
  • The profile is now installed and your custom DNS is active on iOS.
Setup on Windows (Stubby)

Follow the steps below to install Stubby and enable secure DNS.

Important: The Stubby_DNS.zip file you receive by email must be saved to C:\Stubby — as shown in the picture!

Step 1: Open the C:\Stubby folder. This contains the files required for setup.

Step 2: Right-click install_stubby.bat and choose Run as administrator.

Step 3: Approve the UAC prompt with Yes. UAC = User Account Control, Windows’ mechanism that asks permission for administrative actions.

Step 4: In the Command Prompt window you’ll see a message that the scheduled task StubbyAutoStart was created. Press any key to close.

Step 5: Open Task Scheduler and verify the StubbyAutoStart task exists. Restart your PC to apply settings. Stubby starts automatically (hidden) at every logon.

All set! After restart, your DNS traffic is secured via Stubby and OLAhome DNS filters are applied automatically.
